De La Hoz has great attention to detail when planning and executing wing deployments. He spends countless hours determining logistical feasibility, sustainability of cargo, passenger beddown and employment in support of deployed operations. Most important is the time De La Hoz invests in training our young Airmen to become technical experts in the logistics plans career field. Why did you join the Air Force? I joined the Air Force so I could serve my country as well as further my education and hopefully be lucky enough to travel the world. How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing? As a logistics planner my job supports the 48th Fighter Wing, by planning and executing every major or minor aviation/Air Expeditionary Force deployment movement the wing is tasked with in order to support combatant commanders and joint exercises around the world. What drives you as an Airman? Making sure that our mission is completed no matter what obstacle are put in my way drives me as an Airman. What skills do you possess that set you apart from other Airmen in your shop? I think my work ethic as well as attention to deal sets me apart from others. There are always little things that are missed when we plan missions and I make sure that we are accounting for all the little things others may miss. What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to? My favorite place to travel to since I have been in Europe has to be Greece. The weather, food and people were great.
