During my junior year of high school, I decided I wanted to join the military. My reasons are the same as many others, like the opportunity to pursue higher education as well as the honor to serve my country. The Air Force recruiter explained to me that by joining the Air Force I would be part of an amazing military family, and develop job experience and leadership skills. Everything he told me has turned out to be true. How does your job support the mission of the 48th Fighter Wing? By working in the emergency room as an emergency medical technician, we are responsible for the care of our fellow Airmen and their families. We respond to 911 calls at Royal Air Forces Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell, as well as in-flight emergencies; making sure we achieve our goal to help every Airman be mission ready. What drives you as an Airman? Being in the Air Force means I'm part of something bigger than myself. I am constantly learning new things. By being a part of the Air Force, I know that I am making my family proud. What skills do you possess that set you apart from other Airmen in your shop? I find that always being positive and adapting to new situations sets me a-part from others. What has been your favorite place to travel in England/Europe, or where would you like to travel to?
