New processing center for outgoing, incoming privately-owned vehicles

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- U.S. Force members planning to ship their personal vehicles out of the United Kingdom for a permanent change of station must plan to drop them off at a new location in Mildenhall, rather than where they were received upon arrival in the country.

Previously, privately-owned vehicles were shipped in and out of the U.K. via vehicle processing centers in Brandon, Croughton and Menwith Hill. These centers will be closed as of April 30, with the acquisition of a new contractor.

All POV processing will now be consolidated at one location: Field Road, Mildenhall, Suffolk, IP28 7AL. There will be no break in service for customer's requiring POV shipment services for their upcoming PCS.

Personnel should still coordinate POV transport through the installation Traffic Management Office at DSN 238-2202 or commercial 01638 542202.

Additionally, the website www.PCSmyPOV.com contains information on scheduling an appointment, directions to the vehicle processing center and links to helpful videos on shipping, storing and picking up vehicles. Members may be also email customerservice@ialpov.us, or call 00800-227-7447.

POVs shipped prior to April 30 will continue to be handled by the original contractor, and may be tracked and ultimately picked up from the existing site network. Customers who shipped their vehicles prior to this should reference www.whereismypov.com.
