How does the individual portray that core value? Strachan's determination and creative problem solving have been pivotal to the 48th CS mission. Since arriving, he authored a multitude of scripting tools and automation techniques that documented and eliminated more than 100,000 category 1 network security vulnerabilities. This work primed the 48th Fighter Wing for ratings of outstanding and excellent in the 2013 Command Cyber Readiness Inspection.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Serving in the Air Force allows me to give back to the community, while bettering myself through on-the-job experience and education benefits.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? The preparation for the CCRI in August was the most challenging experience I have had so far in my Air Force career. Seeing all of the different communications squadron shops come together in support of this goal has left me proud to be a member of the CCRI preparation team, my squadron and the Air Force.

What are your personal and/or professional goals? I would like to start playing live music again and complete my degree in physics, and I'm considering commissioning.
What is your favorite part of the job? My favorite part of my job is being provided the opportunity to apply creative solutions to problems that have been previously unresolved.
