Contreras displays Excellence in All We Do daily. He participated in the most recent CLEP-A-Thon and earned 21 credit hours toward his Community College of the Air Force degree, completed four volumes of his career development courses, and 25 percent of his upgrade training core tasks in just two months. His determination to succeed, on and off duty, has made him an irreplaceable Air Force asset in just four months. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? It's important to me to serve my country, while making my family proud, and to be part of the 1 percent of Americans that join the military. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? I am most proud of earning my first award in tech school training, The Flight Chief Award. What are your personal and/or professional goals? I would like to get my CCAF degree within the next six months. I also want to take advantage of traveling through Europe; to me it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Professionally, I want to get promoted to senior airman below-the-zone and improve my job skills to the best of my ability. What is your favorite part of the job? Being able to interact with aircrew members and knowing that I play a part in keeping them safe.
