ANNOUNCEMENTS


FMO Closure

The furnishings management office located on RAF Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell will be closed on 26 Aug. for the British Bank Holiday. For further information, please call FMO at 226-7334.

48th MUNS Munitions Storage Area closure

The 48th MUNS Munitions Storage Area will be closed September 6 -13 for a 100% munitions inventory. No transactions will be processed during this inventory except for emergencies. Please contact Munitions Operations with any questions at 226-1961.

Mailing of Lithium Batteries Ban has been lifted; however the following conditions must be met

- Lithium batteries must be installed in equipment they were intended to operate

- Devices containing lithium batteries must be packaged properly to prevent item from being inadvertently turned on

- Equipment/devices containing lithium batteries must be protected from damage and short circuit (Use a strong outer box or container with appropriate cushioning material inside)

- Lithium batteries cannot be mailed individually or packaged "separately" in the same container with equipment or devices

- Cannot mail lithium batteries to "International" address in Italy and Germany

Military APO mailing addresses have been slightly changed

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has implemented a fully automated mail sorting system to process your letters and packages more efficiently. With this implementation, all military addresses were adjusted to meet the "Plus 4" automated mail system requirements.

A11 construction and closure times

A full carriageway closure of B1112, 24 hours per day will last for approximately 18 months. There will be no access from the A11 onto the B1112, but access to local businesses and residents will be possible from both the A1065 and the A1101. There will also be a temporary speed restriction of 40mph on the sections of B1112, which will be accessible for residents and businesses for the safety of road users and the work force.

During nights, the A11 north and southbound inner or outer roundabout will be closed to the Barton Mills [Fiveways] roundabout, including all approaches to the roundabout, for island reconstruction, Monday to Friday 7pm to 6am.


Kids on the Move

Kids on the Move is a free program intended to help children become more active and change their approach to exercise. The program is offered year-round, and is open to children ages 4 -12. Children older than 12 years old are welcome to participate as volunteers, helpers or team leaders.

Rock N Roll Color Run

The Air Force Ball is sponsoring a Rock 'N' Roll 5.5K Color Run event.
