U.S. Air Force F-22A Raptors and Airmen from the 95th Fighter Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, have been deployed to RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom over the past several weeks. Throughout this deployment, the Raptors are here to reassure our NATO allies and train alongside their 48th Fighter Wing counterparts.

On April 26, the Raptors, alongside RAF Typhoons and F-15C and F-15E fighter aircraft from the 48th FW, all trained together in an area of Wales known locally as the "mach loop." Here, the Airmen were able to integrate and practice maneuvers in an austere environment much different from their home station in the "sunshine state."

The Raptors also visited Romania April 25 and will visit Lithuania today. Pilots and maintenance Airmen from the 95th FS will also be meeting with members of the community over the next several weeks. The Raptors want to make the most of their time in Europe, and so far are doing just that.
