Picture this -- You're hanging out with some friends on a Friday evening and one of your friends says, "Hey, let's go to the club and have a few drinks." Everyone quickly grabs their keys and heads for the door. Stop!

This is the perfect time for you to have a short discussion with your friends on where you're going, how you're going to get there and most importantly ... how you will get back. Taking just a few minutes to plan this critical return trip can save you a lot of time, money and anguish. Having a plan is the first step ... following the plan is the second and most important step.

Each and every Airman in the Liberty Wing is critical to making our mission happen on a daily basis. When one Airman on this base makes the decision to get behind the wheel after consuming alcohol, they place them self and all of their wingmen at risk.

The Liberty Wing has a lot of programs that can help you make this decision. Here are your options for a safe drive home after a fun evening with friends:

- A designated driver in your group of friends (this means no drinking for this one person) - Pull out your Wingman Card and call a friend or your supervisor
- Call a taxi
- Call Airmen Against Drunk Driving

Please don't become a statistic ... it's your choice ... make the right one!
