Are you looking for housing in East Anglia?

Do you remember preparing for your assignment to England? Your first concern was probably where you were going to live. There are some people who arrive in overseas locations and immediately want to live in local villages in order to really experience the local culture. There are others who would like to live on base for the convenience and familiarity factor.

Our goal in the 48th Mission Support Group is to get everyone who arrives at RAF Lakenheath settled into a comfortable living environment as soon as possible. I don't know about you, but as soon as my family is settled in a house and has a comfortable daily routine, we feel like we are at home.

For everyone who wants to live off base, I'd like to introduce the Automated Housing Referral Network. AHRN is a new DoD system that is now installed and active as of Aug. 11 for both RAFs Lakenheath and Mildenhall. It replaces all Lakenheath listing systems for available community rental housing. The housing office will still maintain its listing database while it contains useful listings, but no further additions will be made to the system. AHRN can be accessed from any Internet-capable computer.

Newcomers, members looking to move into the community or dorm residents preparing to move off-base will go to www.ahrn.com to register and search for rental listings. A member will require access to a military e-mail address to register. For new arrivals without a working military e-mail, we will create an account for immediate access.

Landlords wishing to list rentals via the housing office, can go to www.arhn.com and click on "Property Manager" registration.
