Did you know we have more than 2,800 children in our RAFs Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell communities? Our children are a key part of our community and therefore deserve great places and programs where they can have fun with their friends. As the parent of a pre-teen, I'm very excited about the wealth of opportunities for children throughout the year. This week, I'd like to share some teen-specific programs that are available.

Of course, there are the obvious hang-outs ... the skate park, the roller skating rink and the Page Community Center gaming room. But there are also other programs, like the ones in our August line-up -- a Teen Hoops Night, a digital photography class and a number of camps that include: basketball, ceramics, wall climbing, pottery, fitness and mechanics. These programs have been very popular in the past, so if your teens are interested, make sure you sign up soon!

We also have a great line-up in September. Our teens will have a chance to join the Keystone Club, Skills Mastery and Resistance Training Girls and the Passport to Manhood Program. They can also take part in the teen fitness program that is held in conjunction with the fitness center and the Air Force Fit-Factor Program. We have programs for everyone that range from piano and guitar lessons to cheerleading classes. The August and September programs are just a small sampling of the great programs we run throughout the year. Call the Youth Center at 226-5437 for more information.
