Taking care of our families is a U.S. Air Forces in Europe, Liberty Wing and mission support group priority. When our military members are deployed, taking care of our families becomes even more important. We do many things throughout the installation to take care of the families of our deployed Liberty Warriors. One of the programs we have is the "The Car Care Because We Care Program."

This program is a partnership between the Air Force Aide Society, the Airman and Family Readiness Center and the 48th Force Support Squadron Auto Shop. The program offers families of deployed servicemembers free oil changes - one free oil change for those deployed 30 days or more, and two free oil changes for those deployed more than six months. The 48th FSS also provides a free towing service within a 30-mile radius of RAF Lakenheath to families with a deployed Airman.

Another great event for families of our deployed members is a social hosted by the A&FRC on the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Every month, the A&FRC hosts this event with different themes and activities focused on our families with deployed members. Come meet new people and find out about the great services on our base for families with deployed members. See you on August 20!
