Two local boys earn pilot wings
ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England – Max Rowlandson, 5, from Saffron Walden, receives an up-close view of an F-15E Strike Eagle with his father, Daniel, while participating in the Pilot for a Day program June 25, 2013. The visit, which was specially arranged for Max and another boy battling life-threatening illnesses, included tours of the aircraft control tower and fire department, and aircrew showcased night-vision and other capabilities.
