Santa trades sleigh for helicopter, ditches elves for Airmen
ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England - Santa Claus, a North Pole native, waves to Team Lakenheath members from the backseat of an all-terrain vehicle driven by Staff Sgt. Anthony DeRoest, 56th Rescue Squadron pararescueman and native of Portland, Ore., Dec. 1, 2012. According to Claus, although the ATV is outfitted for search and rescue and patient transport, it works well for his purposes as its four-wheel drive system and rugged durability allows him to bring Christmas cheer to even his most remote customers.
