Honorary commander flys with the 493rd
ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England – Airman 1st Class Jeffrey Berry, 493rd Fighter Squadron air crew flight equipment, instructs John Cushing, 48th Fighter Wing honorary commander, on how to put on air crew equipment, Sept. 6, 2012. Cushing received an incentive flight with the 493rd FS to receive a better understanding of how the 48th FW operates. Cushing is the chairman of the British-American Committee, which ensures the local relationship between American and British remains intact and encourages integration of the two communities.
