Pilot for a Day, memories for life
ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Staff Sgt. Carlos Santiago, 48th Operations Support Squadron air traffic control watch supervisor, tells Jack Driver, 10, about his responsibilities as part of the Pilot for a Day program March 14, 2012. Jack was surprised by his parents with the trip to RAF Lakenheath where he received briefings, a flight suit, tours and various demonstrations. The Pilot for a Day program is a new program designed to assist children in the local community who are fighting life-threatening illnesses or conditions by providing a day of fun as a break from the routine doctor and hospital visits.
