Canines sniff out STANTA

STANFORD TRAINING AREA, England - A mock improvised explosive device sits partially hidden in a pile of rocks during an exercise, Oct 13, 2011. These were used to train the K-9 handlers what to look for in a real world situation. This is the first time the MWD teams have conducted training at Stanford Training Area, which offers a realistic environment to help train Airmen in a potentially dangerous area. The exercise tested and evaluated the MWD teams on the ability to tactically move through the village while adjusting for threats. (U.S. Air Force photo by Airman Cory D. Payne)
