Descending from the sky

Senior Airman Bradford Thornburg, 56th Rescue Squadron pararescueman, hoists Col. Jay Silveria, 48th Fighter Wing commander, from a helicopter at RAF Lakenheath June 2. This was Colonel Silveria’s final flight aboard one of the 56th RQS’s HH-60G Pavehawk helicopters. The colonel was dropped off at the soccer fields behind Lakenheath High School just in time to speak to the graduating seniors as their special guest.
