pledge
Master Sgt. Thomas Oakes, 48th Maintenance Operations Squadron, fills out his Military Saves pledge card Feb. 24 at the Lakenheath Base Exchange while Teresa Torelli, a community readiness consultant at the Airman & Family Readiness Center here stands by to provide assistance. Service members and their families are encouraged to save money, reduce debt and build wealth over time by pledging to do so under the Military Saves program, a Department of Defense initiative that began in February 2007 and is observed by the entire military community the last Sunday in February to the first Sunday in March each year.
