The long, hard road to recovery

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Tech. Sgt. Christopher Campbell, 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs program manager, uses a theraband to strengthen his shoulder muscles as part of his physical therapy at home Jan. 24. Sergeant Campbell has several exercises to aid his recovery from shoulder surgeries; this particular motion is designed to work muscles around the shoulder. Sergeant Campbell has to lunge forward with the band in his hand, keep his arm parallel to the ground and at the end of the lunge push forward a little more to finish the exercise.
