British Billy's Great Britons: Sir Winston S. Churchill
Sir Winston Churchill is mostly remembered for his leadership and speeches during the World War II. The man who once modestly claimed to ‘have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat’ was much more than an orator; he was also a great politician, writer, warrior, artist and historian. The United States of America recognized his role as a great leader when, in 1963, he became the first person to become an honorary citizen of the United States and in 1999 the US Navy launched the USS Winston S. Churchill, which has been in active service as of this year.
