Waste and water treatment
Emma Bailey-Willis, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron Waste and Water Treatment operator, sweeps scum and other debris off a walkway at the water treatment plant August 6, 2009, at RAF Lakenheath, England. Staff members at the water treatment plant are responsible for keeping the plant clean and running smooth, as well as keeping it in compliance with environmental standards. The waste and water plant cleans the water by passing it through several treatment and filtration processes before reintroducing it into the environment. (U.S. Air Force photo/Cassie Coleman)
