Waste and water treatment
Emma Bailey-Willis, 48th Civil Engineer Squadron Waste and Water Treatment operator, writes down readings from waste pumps, August 6, 2009, at RAF Lakenheath, England. The readings are taken to make sure the pumps are running properly and being changed over on a day-to-day basis. The waste and water plant cleans the water by passing it through several treatment and filtration processes before reintroducing it into the environment. (U.S. Air Force photo/Cassie Coleman)
