Foraging grey squirrel
Grey squirrels are abundant in the U.K. This one is feasting beneath our bird table. Grey squirrels are not an indigenous species and were introduced to the U.K. from the U.S.A. in the late nineteenth/early twentieth century. Their success has been to the detriment of our native red squirrels. (Photo by Suzanne Harper)
