Liberty Adventures: The Wonders of Stonehenge

WILTSHIRE, England -- Tourists from around the globe get an up close look at the Heelstone. Constructed from blue and sarsen stones from across the UK, Stonehenge is one of the most famous archeological wonders in the world. The RAF Lakenheath Information, Tickets and Travel office recently offered a trip to Wiltshire, England to visit the historical site. During the free roaming tour, visitors could listen to a recording to learn in-depth information about the various stages of construction, historical uses of the site and the significance of certain stones within the circle. The site, is believed to have been constructed between 3,000 ? 2,200 B.C. The RAF Lakenheath ITT office offers several trips every month destinations around the UK. The next trip to Stonehenge Inner Circle Access and Windsor is scheduled for May 21, 2011. The next trip to Stonehenge and the City of Salisbury is scheduled for June 12, 2011.
