48th EMS conduct aircraft crash and recovery lift training
Airmen assigned to the 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron repair and reclamation sections prepare a wire cable sling for a simulated crash and recovery aircraft lift at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, Dec. 29, 2020. The repair and reclamation section’s most important responsibility for the 48th Fighter Wing is the in-flight, ground emergency, and the Crash Damaged Disabled Aircraft Recovery program. This program requires members to be ready at a moment’s notice to respond to any CDDAR event anywhere and anytime. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Madeline Herzog)
