Cleaning the way to mission readiness

A 494th Aircraft Maintenance Unit crew chief washes a 494th Fighter Squadron F-15E Strike Eagle at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, March 13. After the aircraft is washed, the paint is inspected to make sure there are no areas that need to be touched up. The paint helps seal the metal and prevent corrosion.
