48th Comptroller Squadron
Comprised of 46 military and civilian personnel, the squadron is responsible for managing all base appropriated funds and overseeing all non-appropriated funds for the 48 FW. The squadron develops and executes financial plans, interprets financial policy, and provides fiscal guidance to commanders at all levels, ensuring effective resource management across RAF Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell. Additionally, the team manages two separate financial portfolios totaling over $90M, supporting more than 7,000 active-duty personnel, U.S. and British civilians assigned to the wing, along with their 11,000 family members. The team delivers accounting and finance support to all units, ensuring accurate and timely execution of financial resources. Finally, the squadron provides financial services support, including pay entitlements, travel reimbursements, and budget execution, to maintain mission readiness and financial stability at the largest U.S. Air Force-operated base in the United Kingdom
