Aviano AB and RAF Lakenheath team up for flying training deployment

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Approximately 200 Airmen assigned to the 510th Fighter Squadron, 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy, are participating in a flying training deployment at RAF Lakenheath, England, to evaluate aircraft and personnel capabilities and train in NATO operations with the 48th Fighter Wing and British allies.

During this training event, 14 F-16C Fighting Falcons from the 510th Fighter Squadron will participate in training focused on maintaining joint readiness while building interoperability capabilities with NATO and other U.S. Air Force assets.

Through strengthened relationships and engagements with our allies, the U.S. and NATO demonstrate our shared commitment to a peaceful, stable and secure Europe.
