U.S. Air Force F-15C Eagles, pilots and support personnel from the 48th Fighter Wing, RAF Lakenheath, England, have deployed to Amendola Air Base, Italy, to participate in the NATO Tactical Leadership Programme 18-4 flying course.

The F-15s will conduct flying training with other NATO air forces including Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. This multilateral training course will focus on developing tactical air expertise and leadership skills.

This is the first year the training will integrate fifth-generation fighter assets in a flying course, with Italian F-35s participating. Fourth and fifth-generation interoperability is a focus area of the course. Programs like this are essential to building cohesiveness and improving interoperability and tactical understanding among allied air forces.
