Core Value Portrayed: "Service Before Self"

How does the individual portray that core value?
Melissa exemplifies "Service Before Self" each day by getting our Airmen and their families off to the right start. She does everything possible to provide individualized assistance and ensures every customer leaves with what they came for.

Why is serving your country important to you?
I believe we are part of a great nation that allows us freedoms that many other countries can only dream about. By helping to protect those freedoms, even in the smallest way, we can help provide for a safer and stronger America.

What accomplishment during your career are you most proud of?
I am most proud of being able to provide support, no matter how small the impact, to both the Airmen and family members I have worked with.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
To run a marathon and to own a health and wellness center. I also would like to one day complete training to receive my Registered Dietitian credential.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Assisting customers with anything they need that may impact their careers, families and personal lives.
