Hobbies: Sergeant Jefferies enjoys working out and traveling. Santo enjoys long walks, a nice bone, and when Sergeant Jefferies rubs his belly. Core Value Portrayed: 'Integrity First' and 'Excellence in All We Do' How does the individual portray that core value? Sergeant Jefferies and Santo consistently perform above and beyond. They often volunteer to work on their down time to ensure the mission is completed and to showcase the Liberty Wing by performing demonstrations for distinguished visitors and local organizations. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Santo: When I retire soon and am sitting around the house talking with the other dogs, Luke and Leia. I'll know I have done something to make my life extraordinary. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? Sergeant Jefferies: I am proud that I was able to deploy to Iraq while assigned to the U.S. Army. While I was there I was inducted into The Order of the Spur by 1st Cav, for my professionalism, knowledge, and skills while deployed in Baghdad. This is specifically a 1st Cavalry award that is rarely awarded (to service members outside of the U.S. Army). What are your personal and/or professional goals? Sergeant Jefferies: I want to finish my bachelor degree and continue to do the best I can do in all my endeavors. What is your favorite part of your job? Santo: Playing with my Kong (a dog toy).
