Regardless of if it is in the tree tops, on a tropical beach, in the mountains or at a world-renowned city, where ever your paradise is, the RAF Lakenheath Information, Tickets and Travel office can get you there.

In search of their paradise, more than 2,000 Airmen, their families and civilian employees from RAFs Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell attended the 2011 Travel Fair, the only travel fair of its type in the U.K., on March 5.

The travel fair, hosted by the RAF Lakenheath ITT office, featured 64 vendors and a variety of prizes, which included two round-trip airline tickets to the U.S.

"It (the travel fair) is a wonderful opportunity for people to see what is (out) there," said Virginia Lamboll, RAF Lakenheath ITT office manager, noting that it brought a full spectrum of travel options under one roof. "You can get around the rooms in a couple of hours and get all sorts of idea of things to do."

One of the travel fair participants perusing the rooms was Tech. Sgt. Christopher Gerwick, 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department station captain.

According to Sergeant Gerwick, he attended the fair due to being new to the area and wanting to see what kind of travel options were available.

The fair's recreation and lodging vendors offered everything from trips to museums, theme parks, zoos, hotel companies, airline companies, spas and more.

"Regardless of where you would like to go, we would like to help you get there," Ms. Lamboll said.
