Core Value Portrayed: 'Excellence in All We Do'

How does the individual portray that core value?
Staff Sgt. Meyer's selfless and continued pursuit of excellence is evident daily. He is constantly training the young Airmen on their job as well as providing constructive feed backs. The professional and personal life lessons he has provided on a daily basis are an immeasurable wealth of knowledge and skill. He is a stand-up NCO, who will do anything in his power to help out his troops. If he does not know the answer he will not let the Airmen go uninformed and ensures they are informed with the correct technical guidance on personal information. He always stands up for his people and work center and gives the credit where it is deserved. He embodies the qualities of a good NCO showing the young Airman the perfect example of, 'Excellence in All We Do'.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Serving in the Air Force is important to me because I know no matter how big or small the job seems sometimes, it is still making a difference or making someone's life better. I get such an enormous amount of job satisfaction out of the work that I do.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?

I'm most proud of receiving my Achievement medal for refurbishing the static display F-15A at Duxford Imperial War Museum.

What are your personal and/or professional goals?
My short term goal at the moment would be to make Technical Sergeant the first time testing. Long term goal....to become a Senior NCO and make positive improvements to the Air Force.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I would have to say the favorite part of my job is a tie between two different things; the first would have to be training the new guys, second, all the travel opportunities.
