Sergeant McGoldrick's crash recovery experience helped aid with the speedy recovery of the Airbus A300 that crash landed at Bagram AB, clearing the runway in less than 72 hours, allowing runways operations and combat sorties to continue. Why is serving in the Air Force important to you? Serving is important to me because I'm doing my part to keep the United States of America safe. What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of? My proudest accomplishment was recovering the crashed C-17 at Bagram Airfield that bellied in on landing. What are your personal and/or professional goals? Training new Airmen to replace us when we're gone and finishing my Community College of the Air Force degree. What is your favorite part of your job? My favorite part of my job is crash recovery, recovering disabled aircraft and responding to in-flight emergencies.
