Liberty Warrior wins 2010 Spirit of Hope Award Published March 24, 2010 ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- Tech. Sgt. Christina Martinez, 48th Security Forces Squadron, was selected as the USAFE 2010 Spirit of Hope Award winner. Sergeant Martinez' organizational prowess mustered 50 military and civilian volunteers for the East Anglia Sports Day. The event was directly responsible for the increased morale and spirit of more than 500 disabled children from Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire areas. The award is named in honor of Bob Hope, the first honorary veteran of the U.S. Army for his 50-plus years of entertaining troops, both in peacetime and in combat zones. Sergeant Martinez will now go on to represent USAFE at the Air Force level.
