How does the individual portray that core value? Airman Navarro is a go-to airman in the section. She exudes service before self on a daily basis with her work ethic. She never complains at the tasks given to her, and she's always the first to volunteer regardless of the situation. She is involved in many organizations and community projects to make RAF Lakenheath a better place. Most of all, she is eager to deploy and add a missing piece to what will be a long, illustrious career.

Why is serving in the Air Force important to you?
Education, traveling and gaining independence are a few reasons I joined. The main reason for serving is I wanted to be a part of something bigger than myself. I wanted to make a difference in the world and give back to the country that gave me opportunities. My uncle, who was a captain in the Air Force, told me if you want to make a change in the world, you must first make a change in yourself. Being in the military and protecting the freedom of the U.S. has always been a goal for me.

What accomplishment during your Air Force career are you most proud of?
Graduating basic training and earning my 5-level. I'm also proud of being nominated for below-the-zone promotion.

What are your personal and career goals?
Since the Air Force needs deployable and dependable Airmen, my main goal is to be spiritually and physically ready for the fight in the nation's war on terror. Also, I want to remain a volunteer and help others in need of assistance, as well as attain higher education.
