WAPS Testing
The WAPS testing cycle for 09E8, MSgt promoting to SMSgt, is approaching. The dates of testing are Dec. 1 - 12 . The testing room is located in Building 977, Room 19. All military members are reminded to be prepared to test the first day of the testing cycle. It is also the member's responsibility to check if they have all the appropriate study materials. 56th RQS change of command
There will be a change of command ceremony Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. in Hangar 6. Lt. Col. Steven R. Huss will relinquish command to Lt. Col. Neil P. Eisen.

RAF Lakenheath Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony 
Join RAF Lakenheath at the Liberty Pine, located across the street from the Commissary, for the annual tree lighting ceremony, Dec. 5 at 5 p.m. Enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and carolers. Kids can meet Santa during his special visit. Cookie donations will be accepted at 48th Avenue Community Center Dec. 5 until 3pm.

OCSC History of Holiday Traditions
The Officers and Civilians Spouses Club will be hosting a History of Holiday Traditions day Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. in the Eagles' Landing Ballroom. For more information, contact the OCSC.

Holiday post office hours 

The post office extended hours are:

-- Finance 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Saturday
-- Parcel pick-up 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week
The post office reduced hours are:
-- Finance - Christmas eve, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-- Finance and parcel pick-up New Years eve, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The post office will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.

British Post Office
At the British Post Office, Airmen can pay everything from gas and water bills to telephone and mail orders. The post office also has the ability to cash and deposit checks to select banks, as well as issue and redeem money orders and exchange currencies. In addition to handling money for Airmen, the British Post Office also sells a variety of insurance, from travel to car and home insurance. Airmen can also get a road tax license issued, as well as a selection of Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency application forms. For more information, visit the British Post Office.

Survivor Benefit Plan
A military retiree is guaranteed a monthly income for life. However, military retired pay stops on the date the retiree dies. The Survivor Benefit Plan was created to protect widowed spouses and dependent children from complete loss of income. For more information, call 226-3070.

True Magic: an A Capella Christmas Farce with Unoriginal Music for the Entire Family
Join the Union Jack Players, with an elf narrator that will lead you through a magical journey, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 13 at noon. Encounter Santa, Tinkerbell, a man named Ebenezer, a mysterious young magician and a wonderful stringless puppet. This original farce draws from many sources, including A Christmas Carol, the Comedy of Errors, and Peter Pan and is full of mistaken identities, disguises and unexpected twists.
