Post office closure

The RAFL Post Office is closed on Nov. 22 and will assume operation the next day at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The facility will be open for customer parcel pickup and parcel mailing. Official and Registered Mail will be closed. Access to mail boxes will be available through the day. For more information, call 226-1349.

Thanksgiving evening service
A Thanksgiving evening service is at Ely Cathedral Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. Chaplain Maj. Gen. Charles Baldwin, Air Force chief of chaplains is the guest speaker. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., pre-service organ recital begins at 6:40 p.m. Service Dress is encouraged for all military members. Free bus transportation departs both chapels at 6 p.m. To reserve a seat, call 226-3711 or 238-2822.

Adult Leaders Needed
The Boy Scouts of America are seeking adult volunteers to lead troops and packs at RAFs Lakenheath, Mildenhall and Feltwell. Boy Scout leaders are responsible for directing, coaching and training young Boy Scouts and empowering them with the skills needed to become great leaders and quality citizens. Abandoned vehicles
Security Forces investigations office will remove abandoned vehicles free of charge and without retribution. U.K. specification vehicles may bring the V-5, pink card and keys to Security Forces Investigations at building 1165. U.S. spec. vehicles require a form 5, V-5, pink card and keys. Microsoft Certification Program

WIC Overseas
Women, Infants and Children Overseas offers free milk, infant formula and other foods to eligible families. WIC staff can answer questions about breast-feeding, starting solids and any other questions. For more information, call 226-1728.

Breast-feeding support group
A breastfeeding support group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11 a.m. at the Lakenheath WIC Overseas Office, Bldg 950. For more information, call 226-1728.

Animal welfare officer

Airman and Family Readiness Center November courses

Four-day transition assistance workshop
A 4-day transition assistance program workshop is Nov. 27 to 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Participants will learn how to write effective resumes and cover letters, interviewing techniques and successful job search methods.

Newcomer's bus tour
A newcomer's bus tour is Nov. 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The tour includes visiting the historical town of Bury St. Edmunds, eating in a pub, shopping and free time to explore.

Pet scoop
A pet scoop class is Nov. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. The class provides pet specialists to answer questions regarding transportation requirements for pets and to assist military families in properly planning for the shipment of pets.

Employment connections
An employment connections course is Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon. This class will instruct on the local labor market and what jobs are available on and off base. Personnel specialists will be available to answer questions concerning hiring procedures.

Movie Maker 101
A Movie Maker 101 class is Nov. 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The class teaches how to use several computer-based movie making programs.
