The Combined Federal Campaign is half way through and RAF Lakenheath has a ways to go to reach its goal of $300,000.

Liberty Warriors have brought in $173,000 so far, leaving the total more than $15,000 behind last year's figures at this time.

"With the OPEVAL and a couple of four-day weeks, we have had a hard time gaining momentum to match last year's figures," said Capt. Benjamin Martin, 48th Fighter Wing community and area project officer. "So, I'm not worried just yet. Knowing the quality of the people we have on base, I just think it's a matter of time before we come together to reach our goal."

According to Captain Martin, donating a small amount goes a long way.

"If everyone here donated 1 percent of their paycheck, we would exceed our goals by a large amount," said Captain Martin.

The CFC is the only authorized solicitation of employees in the federal workplace on behalf of charitable organizations and contributes to more than 1,900 charities worldwide.

The final date to donate to the CFC is Nov. 30.
