People can drop items off at the wing safety break room in Building 1082. "The Food Pantry is a great place for families to grab a little something anonymously to help them get through unforeseen hard times and help stretch their paychecks," said Chief Master Sgt. Jeffrey Williams, 48th FW Command Chief Master Sgt. "It's an easy process and our donations make this possible." The Airmen's Food Pantry is available for Airmen from RAF's Lakenheath, Feltwell and Mildenhall. "The Airmen's Food Pantry is a volunteer organization. We look to the base community for support and donations," said Vicki Smith, Airmen's Food Pantry volunteer. "Without the communities support, we wouldn't exist." Servicemembers E-5s and below with at least one dependent can utilize the Airmen's Food Pantry once a month. If more than one visit a month is required, the Airmen's Food Pantry has a referral form to allow up to four additional visits. Servicemembers E-6s and above are allowed to use the Airmen's Food Pantry one time only. Additional visits require a referral, obtained from an immediate supervisor, first sergeant, Family Support Center or Family Advocacy. For more information call the Airman's Food Pantry at 226-3794.
