Housing survey
The 48th Comptroller Squadron is conducting an overseas housing allowance utilities and move-in housing allowance survey for active duty members who reside in rental property on the economy. To take the survey, visit https://www.perdiem.osd.mil/oha/survey/aproha.html

Student hire program
The Student Summer Hire Program will begin July 9 and end Aug. 3. Application packages will be accepted April 10 to May 4. For more information, call 238-3540.

WIC Overseas
Women, Infants, Children Overseas offers free milk, eggs, cheese, cereal, infant formula and other foods to eligible families. WIC staff can answer questions about breast feeding, starting solids, picky eaters, over-eating and any other questions. For more information, call 226-1728.

Breastfeeding support group
A breastfeeding support group meets on the forth Thursday of the month at 11 a.m. at the Lakenheath WIC Overseas Office, Bldg 950. For more information, call 226-1728.

American Red Cross
The American Red Cross offers a Healthy Pregnancy Healthy Baby instructors course May 18-19 from 8 a.m. to 5p.m. For more information, call 226-1855.

Special duty assignment
A special duty opportunities briefing is April 25, 8:45 a.m. at Bldg. 213, RAF Mildenhall Professional Development Center. Airmen 1st Class with at least 24 months time in service through master sergeants with less than 17 years total active federal military service can attend and are eligible to apply for these special duty assignments. Furnishings Management Office
The Furnishings Management Office is now charging customers for no shows, effective April 1. The charge is £35 for a delivery or pickup and £30 for a maintenance call. For more information, call 226-7154 or 226-7334.

Road construction
The intersection of Norwich and Richmond Roads is under construction until May 30 to convert to a roundabout.

Animal welfare officer
The animal welfare officer handles all pet concerns. The AWO provides education and information on owning a pet on a military installation. For more information, call the pet welfare office at 226-5796.

Travel
British Airways recently changed the baggage allowance for traveling within Europe. Passengers flying on British Airways within Europe will only be allowed one piece of checked baggage per passenger. There are no exceptions for military travelers. The maximum dimension per bag is 158 centimeters or 62 inches, and the maximum weight per bag is 23 kilograms or 51 pounds. British Airways will charge a fee of £60 for any additional baggage. The fee will apply even if the combined weight of two bags is below the maximum weight limit. Travelers can receive a 30 percent discount on airport charges by pre-paying for excess baggage online. The online charge for excess baggage is £42. Military personnel can pay for excess baggage online using their government travel card when traveling on orders. For passengers traveling with infants, one fully collapsible stroller and one car seat will be allowed. For more information, call the Traffic Management Office at 226-1854.

Newcomers bus tour
The newcomers bus tour is April 27, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. This newcomers tour includes visiting the historical town of Bury St. Edmunds, the cathedral, eating in a pub, shopping and free time to explore.
