Airmen, F-15Es and F-35As from the 48th Fighter Wing host a multi-day Point Blank exercise, April 27-28, 2022.

F-15Es and F-35As from RAF Lakenheath, England, MC-130Js and CV-22s from 352nd Special Operations Wing, RAF Mildenhall, England, together with the Royal Air Force, the Royal Netherlands Air Force, French Air Force, Hellenic Air force and the Qatar Emiri Air Force, will participate in Point Blank 22-2, designed to maintain ready forces capable of deterring any adversary and ensuring the collective defense of the NATO alliance.

More than 50 aircraft including F-15Es, Typhoons, Rafales, MC-130Js and F-35As will take to the skies over the North Sea for a Defensive Counter Air and Personnel Recovery exercise, increasing proficiency in joint mission planning and tactical integration.

Point Blank is a recurring, low-cost exercise initiative designed to increase tactical proficiency of U.S., U.K. Ministry of Defense, and other NATO forces. Multilateral exercises like this increase interoperability and collective readiness, deter potential adversaries and ensure the skies within the European theater remain sovereign.
