Loss of an Airman at RAF Lakenheath Published Aug. 4, 2025 By 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs 48th Fighter Wing Public Affairs ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England -- An Airman assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing at RAF Lakenheath died in a non-duty-related vehicle accident Aug. 3, 2025. Following next-of-kin notification, the Airman has been identified as Airman 1st Class Immanuel Arrington Jr., 20. Arrington served in the 48th Security Forces Squadron. “We are heartbroken by the loss of Airman 1st Class Arrington. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and unit during this difficult time,” said Brig. Gen. Jack Arthaud, 48th Fighter Wing commander. “We are committed to providing the proper care and support to all those that are affected by this profound loss.” The accident is currently under investigation.
