Leah Davis Release # | 140601 Date | June 6, 2014 RAFs Lakenheath and Mildenhall will host an Independence Day celebration for the community on July 4 at RAF Feltwell. Major highlights of the day will include fireworks, an RAF Falcons parachute display and an RAF Red Arrows aerial demonstration. Other entertainment includes a heritage flight, a car and motorcycle show, a play area for children, carnival rides, family contests and live music provided by local bands. While admission to the celebration is free of charge, food and beverages will be available for purchase on site. Gates will open to the public at noon and close at midnight. Designated parking will be available next to the festival area. Due to the thousands of visitors anticipated, high traffic and road delays are expected in the area. For security reasons, all items will be searched before visitors can proceed past the entry point. Only hand-carried items such as purses, baby bags and lawn chairs are authorized. Animals, with the exception of service animals, will not be allowed into the festival area.
