The Fuels Management Flight of the 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron, has one of the most vital missions to the wing, which is fueling all aircraft, government-owned vehicles and other gas-operated equipment. Their functions include importing, storing, testing and transporting the fuels.

The Fuels Management Flight conducts on average 144 hot pit refueling operations per month issuing an average of 279,000 gallons of fuel. Hot refueling reduces aircraft ground time and cuts aircraft regeneration time by 50%.

The 48th LRS is dedicated to providing the U.S. and its Allies high quality cryogenics, aviation fuel, and ground fuel support during peace time and contingency operations.
