Survival course shows why flights divert, train over countryside

The class prepared aircrew for dangerous environments created by harsh weather conditions over water off the U.K. coastline. The 48th Fighter Wing’s strategic, European-based location enables the unit to support U.S. Air Forces in Europe’s “Forward, Ready, Now” posture by providing worldwide, responsive, combat airpower.
