New trainer enhances Liberty Wing F-15 maintenance
ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England - Senior Airman Joseph Schlotthauer, 493rd Aircraft Maintenance Unit tactical aircraft maintenance journeyman and native of Lancaster, Pa., inserts a pin on a landing gear trainer during an F-15 hydraulics course Nov. 27, 2012. Detachment 16 recently acquired the landing gear trainer from Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. The trainer replaces the need to use an actual aircraft, reduces man-hours associated with the course and provides students with a better training environment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt.
