General Franklin visits RAF Lakenheath

ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England – Mr. Curtis Briggs, 48th Logistics Readiness Squadron installation deployment officer, explains the processes and procedures for the personnel deployment function and the cargo deployment function to Lt. Gen. Craig Franklin, 3rd Air Force commander, at the installation deployment readiness center, Nov. 14, 2012. Franklin visited RAF Lakenheath as part of his immersion since becoming the 3rd AF commander in March. He visited the hospital, IDRC, Hangars 6 and 7, fire department, 56th Rescue Squadron and other areas around the base to familiarize himself with the 48th Fighter Wing members and mission.
