K.I.A. WWII Airmen among the honored at Remembrance Day ceremony
MARTLESHAM HEATH, England - The name of U.S. Army 2nd Lt. James Des Jardins is inscribed on the 356th Fighter Group Memorial at Martlesham Heath. Des Jardins, who served at Royal Air Force Station Martlesham Heath during WWII, was killed in action in 1944 and returned home in September 2012. He was among the honored at a Remembrance Day ceremony in Martlesham Heath Nov. 11, 2012. Des Jardins is survived by his nephew, John Des Jardins, Outagmia County Judge in Wisconsin.
