Spirits soar during Pilot for a Day
ROYAL AIR FORCE LAKENHEATH, England – The Carr and Pite families pose with Twinkle, 24-year-old eagle owl, and Keith Mutton, Phoenix Bird Control handler, during a Pilot for A Day tour June 22, 2012. The Pilot for a Day program is new to RAF Lakenheath and provides children in the local community who are fighting life-threatening illnesses or conditions a day of learning and fun as a break from doctor visits.
